That's a good thing
Holden adds depth. He can also play RD. Teams are always looking to stock up for the playoffs. You don’t get Holden to play in your top four in the playoffs.
Sure, but can you really envision Sweeney saying, "well give me Holden now and let's keep talking about McDonagh"? Seems like a very weird sequence of events unless Boston is going to engage a 3rd team somehow.
mac for marner and firstAnd awaaaay we go! Good job!..This morning I woke up with a strong feeling that today was the day McD would be traded. Toronto could use him desperately and they certainly have a wealth of assets that we need. Aquiring McD could put Toronto instantly in SERIOUSLY strong contention. Wouldn't you think? I think they need him more, than wanting Taveras (which has been rumoured).
Sam: "We wish Nick Holden good luck and success in Boston. It didn't work out for him here in New York, but he always played hard for the team."
Joe: "He's a good man, Sam."
Sam: "Yes he is, Joe."
Now are current defense is down to 252 NHL games played and Brady Skjei has 147 of them.
Bingo. "Skates good for a big guy" once was okay. Now it just means he can't keep up in most NHL systems.Rob O’Gara “skates well for his size” according to Bruins fans... which I agree with @nyr2k2 is a dreaded statement.
6/7 at best. I’m sure we will see him though.
