With the 60th overall pick, the Ducks select, from the London Knights of the OHL, Alex Formenton!!

One of the fastest players in the OHL and one of the younger players available in the draft. Alex has great speed and has his tracks set towards the net. He uses that speed to get in on the forecheck and he need to do quite a bit of filling out of his 6'2 frame to be more effective. Has a good shot and release around the net. Hardly even used in the OHL Playoffs. Look for him to get more icetime in his sophomore season in the OHL.

With the 61st overall pick, the Ducks select, from the Ottawa 67s of the OHL, Sasha Chmelevski!!

The kid from Huntington Beach has great skill and oozes creativity, top end speed and agility and possesses a pro shot. He's got consistency issues and his intensity wanes, but if he can straighten those issues out he has all the tools to be a high end offensive weapon.

Thick stay at home defender who is now a Freshman at the University of Michigan. Has shown an uptick in his agility and footwork, but continues to be a player who has to work a bit of physicality into every match he plays, and can body attackers off the puck in this area. Is steady in his end and makes a crisp breakout pass in transition. Handles the opposition forecheck pretty well. He hasn't displayed much offensive end creativity but like so many players in this class they are going to need developmental time.

Thanks. I have him ranked ~44. Wouldn't be surprised if he sneaked into the late 1st round if some team likes him enough. Doesn't seem to be very highly regarded among the scouting services though, not sure why. Some people question his hockey IQ, but the times I've caught him it hasn't looked to be an issue.
