If it's Slaf, I can live with that trade.

If it's Wright, you need to get more.
its a tricky situation because if they walk away from Slaf/Wright + Holtz then they risk offers drying up and getting a lot less at the TDL, naturally the teams that want to make trades at the deadline are contenders that will draft later in the rounds, this summer is a unique situation where teams think they can speed up their rebuild and they have the high picks to acquire a player like Cat, it seems like a now or never situation as far as getting high picks

If you're talking about NBA style drafts a guy and trade him minutes later nonsense. Thank God it isn't part of NHL

That is some of the dumbest shit

Infact NBA trades overall are idiotic with trading of picks 8-9 years off and the conditions put on picks, etc and how many trades are made just to buy guys out for future cap room and other nonsense which usually leads to team with cap room still failing to land stars, etc (Knicks spent years doing this crap)

This past NFL draft was the first really active player trade draft which was surprising and had a few big deals made. If NFL player trades become more regular part of draft that will only make it again far and away the best draft in sports

I am sure the 5 fans + family of players in stands are enjoying it
They are the most recent CHAMPIONS of any sport in Chicago. A little respect. I actually enjoy watching the Sky play.

Fine with me

Then Chicago keeps DeBrincat
don't really understand how Cat is more valuable than #2 pick, ppg forward in AHL and former top 10 pick plus all the cap space they will get to do additional deals in the future...he's going to get 10m and a full nmc and this team is going to be terrible, only thing he will do is add a few more wins and shift them to the 5-10 range for future drafts where they've lived for 5 years it seems like...just bottom out already and get this over with...if you walk away with what was considered one of the best snipers in his draft class plus a top line forward this year and heaps of cap space you do it every day of the week imo

Bet no one can even name whatever that trophy is called. Wouldn’t even have a guess.

Because Wright will never sniff 40 goals.

And Holtz is still unproven in the NHL. Keep in mind, that Holtz's biggest problem in his draft year was shot IQ. He shot from everywhere, didn't matter if it was a bad shot or low danger area. He just shot the puck. Will that translate to the NHL? Maybe, but there's plenty of examples of low IQ players thriving outside the NHL, and then busting when they get there.

Yeah, we have a great example in current team with low IQ. That is why the guy won’t qualify.
