To be fair this isn't the first time an upset like this happens, it's not like USA's tournament is over. If anything, a bad game like this can wake them up big time.

Obviously losing a point to Kazakhstan is bad but it's not even that embarrassing imo. It happens.

Fortunately they play each other but Slovakia finishes with France. We play Finland and Switzerland. Points will be tough to find against Finland so in all likelyhood it will be do or die against Switzerland.

hmmm are you sure?? Slovakia already have 6 points so wins against Belarus and France will mean they will have 12 not 9...and they have match with Swiss too...if this will be tied in regulation you are lost in all ways

Pretty much. A lot of us USA fans complain about all the declined invites but lack of motivation and poor adjustment to big ice are just as big of problems, if not more so.
