If CBJ are willing to eat salary, Chicago could badly use him, their fourth line and PK is a dumpster fire and that is Campbells bread and butter

He would help the PK IMO but at 1.3 million they would need to take salary back.

Perhaps Tootoo and a meh prospect?

He in not an NHL caliber player anymore. Will always remember his monster of a PK shift in the 2013 playoffs though.

What are the cap implications for the Jackets (or any team) if a player fails to report and gets suspended by the team? Had he reported, only part of his salary would come off the Jacket's cap. Does his failure to report and subsequent suspension mean that the whole contract is still on the cap?

If he can't make Columbus, what team does he expect to make?

His dad got him his cup.

No one will want him for anything more then another cap dump and he would be lucky to spare in the NHL

That's kind of a **** attitude thinking he's entitled to be in the NHL. If you think you're above AHL then play like it and earn the roster spot.

I doubt that is the case. You are projecting that onto him. He probably just would rather retire than play in the AHL at this point.

His agent said he doesn't want to play in the AHL because it would take the spot of a prospect trying to make the NHL.

So...he's either being a good guy, or trying to look good.

Dude belongs in the AHL

He really SUCKS

Agreed.

If he is refusing the assignment just because he doesn't want to ride the bus and play in AHL games, that's fine. I understand. It'd be better to retire, but whatever.

If he is refusing the assignment because he fails to see he isn't an NHL talent beyond a call up for a fourth line role he needs to wake up and get over himself.
