We had 2 goals coming in, acquiring a top 6 forward and top 4 d-man. We did both of those with the acquisitions with Lee and De Haan, we believe we have one of the deepest rosters in the league and look forward to making a hard push for Lord Stanley's cup next season.

Was hoping to add another forward in FA, but with the additions of Hoffman, Nyqvist, Reaves and Borgstrom (full-time) we feel like this is a playoff team. Also happy to add veteran goalie Cam Ward as a stop gap until Jordan Binnington takes over backup duties.

After getting screwed in Free Agency, (not the agents fault, just that fact that I lost on every offer I made) we had to resort to trades to build our team's depth. We like where our team is at with this set up. All four lines are potent offensively with incredible team speed. It is remarkable depth when all 4 lines can be a matchup nightmare for opponents.

Our defense while not perfect, is very mobile and can get the puck to our forwards in a hurry as well as join the rush offensively. Boychuk and Hainsey will also help keep teams from scoring with their physical defensive presence.

Kevan Miller available for a late-round pick.

A solid defensive defenceman who can PK, hit, and fight. PM me.

Overall, the Bruins management is incredibly pleased with the outcome of our offseason. We believe that the addition of the most sought-after UFA, John Tavares, will be the final core piece to bring the cup back t0 Boston. We also acquired defensive defense man, Christopher Tanev, who we believe will be a great partner for Torey Krug, allowing him to jump into the play and get involved into the offense more often. Finally, we got Sven Baertschi, a middle-six winger that has the offensive ability to contribute to the scoresheet often.

We are very happy with our offseason. Our main priority was our center depth and we were able to fix it quickly with the acquisitions of Leon Draisaitl and Victor Rask. With Ryan Poeling who should knock at the door sooner than later, we really like our new depth. We believe that our offense is not only a lot better than last year but also deeper. On defense, we have added Ben Hutton who should help to solidify our left side. Considering Victor Mete progression and the fact that Karl Alzner is a better fit on the bottom pairing at this point in his career, we believe that our defense is now well balanced. We also like the fact that we were able to add two high end defensemen at the draft, Ty Smith and Mattias Samuelsson. The future is bright in Habs land!
EDIT : Defense also improved by the late acquisition of Kevan Miller from the Bruins.

We are happy with our moves this offseason, as our team gets younger and extends it's cup window for many many years. Getting rid of contracts with NTCs and infusing youth and potential into our lineup aids us in being able to sign Brayden Point, Nikita Kucherov, Yanni Goude and Ryan McDonagh to long term extensions next summer.

Eeli Tolvanen - Steven Stamkos - Nikita Kucherov
Andreas Johnsson - Brayden Point - Yanni Gourde
Alex Killorn - Anthony Cirelli - Mathieu Joseph
Adam Erne - Mitchell Stephens - Ryan Callahan
Cedric Paquette

Victor Hedman - TJ Brodie
Ryan McDonagh - Anton Stralman
Mikhail Sergachev - Dan Girardi

Quietly waiting for GM Game 4...

:hawks

Artem Anisimov (MNTC) and Anthony Duclair are in play for futures.

8th overall could be moved for a young top 6 LW or top 4 LHD.

Also listening to offers for Corey Crawford (MNTC).

We have seen Montreal buy in the last 2 GM games. I’m going in another direction and burning it down. They desperately need a full rebuild to reshape their core and add in picks and prospects. Make your offers. Nobody is off limits.

:canes looking to strengthen the team to become a playoff team. Aho and Hanifin off unavailable, willing to discuss #2, Slavin and Teravainen but not likely to move. We need a #1 center and starting goalie the most.
