yeah i don't think he is great all around, but i like his vision and passing. Hopefully he can grow other parts of his game.

I'll gladly do the second half of the season if someone does the first.

Goals: 16
Primary Assists: 15
Secondary Assists:8

PPG:6
PPA1:5
PPA2:5

Yeah, but I had the advantage, that I already had some of the data because of this thread. So I was more than halfway there before I started.

By the way, since I can't really keep the OPs up to date this season. I am toying with the idea of reducing the number of players and instead add some more detailed stats (primary and secondary assists, PPG etc.) for that smaller number of players, starting next season.

I was wondering what you guys think. Should I stick to more players or focus on fewer players and add more information. In the latter case I would pick no more than 10 players per birth year. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Since the thread is officially about the NHL Draft, you should be totally fine with just 5-10 players per year. There are usually just a maximum of three that have a real shot anyway, and those three usually leave for NA sooner rather than later.

Maybe use only players who make the U20, U18, U17, U15, and U13 teams like how the American Prospect thread is set up in the prospect section.

Because of that, you would have the best out of the best for a certain age group instead of having to put in the stats for players like Marius Demmler and Paul Stauffert who will never be drafted.

Right now his odds to be drafted are probably at around 99%.

It is nice to see though that he showed up as an underager with 2g 2a in an international tournament. His recent stats are very promising again.

Kudla, what was his goal like today?

Well, it probably wasn't his best game, but in the 3rd period he showed some nice plays, great hands and scored a nice wrister to the top right corner. He was awarded as the best player of the game and best forward of the tournament

Ok, so using the Dominik Bokk as an example this could be what I will use for next season. I'll pick 5-10 players for each of the upcoming 5 or 6 years.

Dominik Bokk, C, Kölner Haie U19, 2000/02/03 / 5'11'' / 154 lbs - NHL Draft 2018

When the time comes I'll appreciate any input on which players to choose, or any other suggestions.

Looks very good but stats for the DNL Hauptrunde are wrong. He got 23 games 11 goals 20 assists and 31 Points according to Pointstreak.

Jan Schumacher with a 5 point game (2g 3a) today. :handclap:

Pretty sick stats for a late 2001 born in the top pool.

23 games
10 goals
19 assists
29 points

Wow, very impressed bei Schumacher. But really bad game by Bokk. Bad passes, many turnovers and some really bad decisions. Hope to see more from him tomorrow.

It doesn't necessarily fit in in this thread, but I didn't want to make a new one.

If anyone is interested in watching some U12 and U10 teams play hockey here is your chance (only the U12 games will be streamed on sportdeutschland.tv):

http://www.deb-online.de/2017/02/32-faschingsturnier-in-mannheim-bambinis-im-livestream/

The participating teams in the tournament are:

I'll be at the Krefeld-Mannheim game tonight and possibly (though unlikely) tomorrow as well. Forgot who's from the area (Miric?), but if anyone from here is going too, feel free to let me know and come say hi!

Stachowiak had an outstanding game today; I'd totally give him a shot in the 7th round of the draft. Smart player who's constantly buzzing around the ice and extremely hard to knock off the puck. Definitely the No. 1 on my German draft list this year.

A question to the juniors experts from Germany: Is there anyone playing in Germany being likely selected in the 2017 NHL draft?

Yeah, should've asked earlier. Maybe next time. ;)

No one who's "likely to be selected" but I believe Wojtek Stachowiak would deserve to be picked.

-------------------

Valenti with 2G, 5P today. I really haven't liked him much in recent viewings, but every once in awhile he has games like this one. Very inconsistent but great tools.

I think Thomas Reichel is the most likely candidate. Scouts seem to like him.
Stachowiak is very interesting, as others have already pointed out.
And if you count him, he plays for Salzburg (so not in Germany), goalie Benjamin Beck might intrigue an NHL team with his 6'7'' frame.

Last year I thought Marvin Ratmann would have a decent chance, but his season didn't really go well (was injured a long time).

I would surprised if any one of them is picked, but they're the only ones with an outside shot.

Personally I believe the only German picked in this draft will be Leon Gawanke who plays in the Q.

By now, I really wouldn't be surprised at all to see Stachowiak picked. At the start of the season, I wasn't sure about his hockey sense, but he's really proven me wrong on that one. Extremely fast skater with quick hands, a nose for the net, and great playmaking abilities as well. Just a consistently good player overall.
