What did Shattenkirk do to get fined?

As the second ticked off the clock in the first period, Bunting skated past Bruins netminder Linus Ullmark, making incidental contact. Ullmark fell to the ice, but no penalty was called.

As Bunting continued to skate to his bench, Shattenkirk stuck his stick out from his bench, connecting with Bunting. It was small contact, but when you're on the bench you cannot interact with the on-ice play.

That little poke earned Shattenkirk a fine from the Department of Player Safety.

Well done by Shattenkirk. Saw it in the replay and expected 1 game, this is an unexpected surprise. Bunting deserved much more.

I guess it's finally official. The Arizona Coyotes are moving to Utah.
Coyotes are common in Utah; much more common than Jazz.

Right? If they can keep the name Jazz when they moved then Coyotes shouldn't be a problem.
The Utah Jazz were moved from New Orleans in 1979. The owner was too cheap to do a re-brand and didn’t want to get stuck with leftover Jazz merch he couldn’t sell. The Jazz’ colors were purple, green and gold until 1996 (Mardi Gras colors).

I usually detest teams changing cities, but at least the Coyotes won’t need a major rebrand like the Jazz should have done.

Going to be missing a lot of GDTs from now on due to working nights but will watch games the following mornings.

Grzelcyk made some solid plays…don’t know which Penguin he deked around breaking the puck out late in the first but it was pretty slick, didn’t have much time or space. Also had a big block in the 3rd.

There was a play where Carlo broke up a play and stapled the other guy when they both hunted the loose puck near the corner…wish he played PO’d more often.

Still laughing at Shattenkirk poking Bunting with his stick from the bench…looked like Maroon tried to get him too, the replay was funny as hell.

Even funnier was Pastrnak taking a light Ridly Greig slapshot on Jarry at the end and Crosby crying over it.

There's no rule that Monty can't rest a few of his best players for the next two games.

Of course, that would really piss the Pens off, but who cares.
Nope and that might get the Leafs 1st rd indeed if Florida can get a pt from Leafs in that last meeting.

right through the crease. deserves more of a fine than a stick tap from the bench ... but whatever.

I still remember years ago when the BRUINS swept the Pens in the PO's, holding them to a total of 2 goals for the 4 games.
I believe that was the series where Crosby got aggressive towards Chara. Of course, the ref was standing in between them.

One of my favorite Marchand goals

Ullmark saw him coming and stuck his leg out.

If he was always occupying that space thats one thing, but he put himself in the way to make contact with Bunting at the last second.

If thats technically a penalty on Bunting for entering the crease and making contact whatever. But there's no need for Bunting to face anything additional when Ullmark put himself in that position on purpose.

Supplementary discipline for Bunting for that? Absurd.

Equally absurd? Putting any blame on Ullmark for that contact. Bunting knew precisely what he was doing.
