Not the dumbest idea to let Gagne watch from the press box and give Bjorkstrand a shot.

Truthfully I am happy that Gagne hasn't kept up his early season pace and have the CBJ resign him for big bucks and long term. Now they can negotiate as if he were a 4th liner (which it looks like he is) or just let him walk.

They weren't going to break the bank to resign him. His productivity dropping only hurts the team now.

Was Andy in a concussion protocol? Does the NHL even have one (like the NFL)? Hard to believe he would go from being in it to out of it in just two days.

Playing much better without the puck than we have in the last few games. Good positioning forcing them to make quick plays they aren't fully able to keep up with.

Stuck at office; glad to hear it. They need a 60-minute game in which they play well AND get rewarded. Playing well and not getting result (or winning in OT) almost reinforces the "doesn't matter how we play" attitude. It isn't just puck luck, IT DOES matter in the long run, as that is how they get back to winning consistently - which is needed for playoff placement and LOOOONNGGG playoff run (I wrote that!!!!:naughty:)

Andy shouldn't be playing. After getting his bell rung like that, he should be sitting. Too many players don't speak up about how they are feeling. They want to play and all sports make playing injured seem heroic and noble when it's risking future brain injuries playing without properly healing.

Which relies heavily on what the player tells them.

The martial arts studio I used to teach at had a 13 year old boy with a broken collar bone complete a 2 hour judo belt test. We knew something was wrong, but he insisted he was fine over and over again because he didn't want to admit he was injured and stop the test.

Hockey players are known for not admitting how bad their concussion symptoms are.
