I mean I get its an 82 game deal, but I just think that if the Devils, Avs, Knights and Wings can be where they are right now with the teams they have, and we needed a shootout for the 1st one and then went down 2-1 twice, with only 1 good team in the mix, then goddamn...

I think your overall point (we are underwhelming) is right, but I would take Devils/Avs/Knights/Wings as proof of concept. I still think we’ve got a better shot at the playoffs than any of those teams, with the possible exception of NJ which I think people have underrated recently.
