+ Brodin/Faber is what we thought it’d be

+ Rossi more confident and stronger

- none of the recent re-signees played well

- top line still doesn’t work

Didn't Beckman also lose his first goal to offside review?

Unfortunate to have that happen to two different rookies in a span of a year

If Rossi continues to play like he did last night, the production is just a matter of time.

Strong game, hopefully he will get more ice time and better linemates soon.

NOTES: Gustavsson is the fourth Wild goalie to get a shutout in a season opener (Darcy Kuemper, 2014; Niklas Backstrom, 2007; Dwayne Roloson, 2001)

Hartman was 18.18% in the faceoff dot… 2 of 11
Somehow less alarming than Foligno when he had a couple steps on a defender and got caught immediately. Luckily thanks to his rare locker-room abilities he can afford to lose a step and get a pay raise

I dislike Foligno on the team as much as anybody (maybe more), but Tkachuk could've absolutely got an embellishing call there as well. Still, not a good look doing that and getting Rossi's first goal called back. Not a banner night for him.

I’m upset, for some reason my phone told me the Wild played Friday even though I swore the game was Thursday. I saw the score pop up while watching the WVU-Houston football game. I only got to see the last 5 mins of the game. Shame Rossi didn’t get his goal.
