It was tough to move the 8th overall, but we feel Dylan will fit in well with our core of Eichel, Ristolainen, Reinhart, Hanifin and McCabe. This gives us a solid team up front and on the back end while we can still add depth with #12 and #31.

are genuinely thrilled with the drafting of two players we believe to be top 10 talents in Gabe Vilardi and Martin Necas. We feel that with the departure of Matt Duchene, these two talents will help to fill the cupboard for the future.

We are thrilled with our 1st round.

We've added a potential top-pairing defender in Timothy Liljegren, and a 6'5" pivot with skill in Michael Rasmussen, to say nothing of adding a dynamic forward with incredible character in Jaret Anderson-Dolan.

Our second round was no less impactful, as we added a top-20 talent in Maxime Comtois, and a superb two-way player in Jason Robertson.

With our moves, we also added an additional 1st round pick in next years draft which projects to be one of the deepest in the past decade.

Our rebuild is very much on track.

We plan to finalize our roster via UFA, however we will still look at any deals brought to us if they make sense for our plans going forward. With the current players on our roster and whoever we add during UFA, we feel like have a really solid roster going forward and fully expect to make the playoffs, even if our roster is fairly young.

We would also like to welcome our other 1st round pick, Matthew Strome to the organization. We are pleased with the prospects we have selected and believe they will be great players for us in the future.
