Glad him and Holloway are finally playing together like a bunch of us having been screaming for.

Holloway put up 1 + 2 last game as well, they play a style of game that works well stylistically.

Holloway is a beast on the faceoff circle and on the forecheck as well defensively below the dots. This opens up a lot of ice for a sniper and shooter like Caufield.

Doubt it. Only Ovechkin really is and Caufield's not anywhere near that.

Maybe 30-40 goal scorer. The rest of his offensive game is really good as well. He can pass it too.

he's tied for the NCAA lead in goals, he's 3rd in points, all while playing 1-2 less games then the players ahead of him and they both play in what I would call weaker conferences in the WCHA and ECAC.

also in case you missed it, MB said that he expects Caufield to turn pro when his season ends. So hopefully he'll be in Laval as I think working with Bouchard will be very good for his future.

I wish your wrote “ he is pro ready as is “ in the beginning instead of the end so that I would have saved myself time from reading the rest.

I will let time argue this one out for me. I reserve the right to come back to it at the end of the season when Caufield is playing well in the AHL, therefore being pro ready.

Definitely on the short list of names (no pun intended), I’ve watched pretty much every Wisconsin game that Holloway has played in and Caufield definitely looks dynamic offensively every shift lately.

He looks to have “figured out” the NCAA. He has excellent offensive instincts and underrated playmaking ability as well. Just lethal on the PP, excellent lateral skating and edge work as well.
