What does this even mean? Like it's uncommon for an American player to be good? What a terrible comment. He was really good for an American player. Won a few cups. Had one ball and yellow teeth. Let him go out gracefully.

Guy absolutely has some of the best meme material in the NHL. Funny part is you don't need make many changes to the actual photosWhy would NHL 24 cover ahtlete retire?
“Those people should know better”What does this even mean? Like it's uncommon for an American player to be good? What a terrible comment.
Phils fitness is the most underrated thing ever. 1286 games is more than luck.Well this is just nonsense. Everybody who has ever worked with Kessel talks about what a freak he is in the gym. Guys that detest the gym don't spend their summers with Gary Roberts.
Well we should call a spade a spade. I'd say it's equal parts luck, crippling fear of contact and sheer dedication in the gym. He's a player with a lot of warts. But he certainly doesn't get enough credit for the things he has done to give him the career he has had.Phils fitness is the most underrated thing ever. 1286 games is more than luck.
Was I the only one who read this and thought "Subban unretired"?
yes I know he didn't win a cup
I would be shot for making a post like this.He was really good for an American player. Won a few cups. Had one ball and yellow teeth. Let him go out gracefully.

Just what WPG needs… they just got rid of a slow anchor, might as well get a new oneSeems unlikely he'd retire
I'd be happy to try him on the Jets
"sheer dedication to the gym" , lol i have no idea where you'd come up with that . i remember it was reported he dropped by Roberts gym for like a week one summer when he was with the Leafs but for the most part is was a running joke how he did the bare min when it came to working outWell we should call a spade a spade. Missed games to cancer, a shoulder injury, and then played every single game thereafter, only interrupted by a lockout, a pandemic and summer.
Oh, there was also that time the US national team left him at home for some stupid reason.
Bull. He always crushed it in Leafs fitness testing. And any time a teammate of his is on that Chiclets podcast they seem to have a story about working out with him and how much of a freak he is. The only people that ever talk negatively about his fitness are fans and hacks like Steve Simmons"sheer dedication to the gym" , lol i have no idea where you'd come up with that . i remember it was reported he dropped by Roberts gym for like a week one summer when he was with the Leafs but for the most part is was a running joke how he did the bare min when it came to working out
he crushed nothing , i remember Cox throwing out a tweat about his high fitness level and the rest of the media making jokes about it for the next 2 weeksBull. That could roll nicely into his mythos. The stories will grow over time... "he'd play two shifts, then hit the locker room for stadium dogs and brewskies, and sometimes you'd even catch sight of him in the press box, trying to talk to the healthy scratches"I suppose if Kessel wants to make the league minimum and accept sporadic playing time, then he might find another team to sign him. But why? The 'iron man' streak is rapidly becoming a bit of embarrassment.....two shifts a game, and then to the dressing-room in games where he shouldn't have even been playing.
He's had a great career and will get lots of HOF consideration. It's time.
