Seems like the D likes to take dumb pinches. Last two goals and 2 on 1's were due to one D pinching when it shouldn't have.

Easily preventable goals if the D man takes the pass away, they've been pinching all game, odds are they were gonna get caught sooner or later. Neither Zaitsev or Polak took away the pass on both those rushes. That goal is more on them than it is their D partner pinching

Nylander almost 4 games and 1 assist, NO goals.

Matthews almost 4 games and 1 goal and just got roasted on a goal that may be the backbreaker.

These 2 are apparently the guys that should be excelling yet it’s Marner who’s the only one doing a lick of anything.

Matthews is definitely not completely healthy. He said a while ago that he wasn't fully recovered from his injuries and wouldn't be until the start of next season.

That’s why he’s not Leafs Captain (I know they don’t have one). Even if it’s true you never ever want a guy who’s supposed to be a leader saying anything like that.

Not saying I don't agree. But some posters were blaming Andersen for those two goals while in my book both were 100% on the D pinching+not backing up the pinch/covering the pass.

as the game has progressed the leafs d has really gotten exposed. when teams go up the pressure is on to pinch and their indecisiveness and poor decision making eliminate all of the possession their forwards drive

Boston has totally taken control this period, Toronto doesn't look dangerous at all

No but coming back 3-1 is really tough. This is about as close you get to a must win.
