Here's a new v6.0 of the NHL36 2018-19 Database, Post-Draft!
- Big news of course is the 2018 draft is all entered, rights are all distributed so you'll be setup for the new season and next year's 2019 draft will run accurately.

- All major transactions of course, NHL, N.A., major Euro leagues, CHL, NCAA, feeder leagues etc as of 6/23/18. Includes Kovalchuk to the Kings, the Grubauer trade, the Hamilton-Hanfifin trade, etc.

- Includes structural updates for North American leagues for 2018-19 as well.

- I've totally revamped much of the Canadian and United States hockey structure. I've gotten tired of having hundreds of leagues and thousands of teams that don't populate very much ever so I've actually condensed many of the midget, bantam, junior B/C, high school and minor college leagues. High level programs like Shattuck, Pursuit, Delta, Notre Dame Hounds, etc still exist but in many cases entire leagues have been condensed into single teams based on league name or geographic location. The result I find is a streamlined game and teams that get more fully stocked. I can go into much further detail about this if you want to know but for now just know this was a conscious decision of mine and is a direction I want to take this database.

- I've also re-done all the logos to match this new structure in "Dani 9" style with the oversized team logos and glossy small logos for ALL US and Canadian leagues and teams in the database (when combined with his amazing logopack). So after you download his latest logo pack, download the extension pack for North American NHL36/32 logos below, extract to your logos folder and overwrite when asked. Not only will it add the logos based on the NHL36/32 league structure but it will add new teams for 2018-19 and tweak some existing logos to better color match the team data in the NHL36/32 database.

- I will also do some streamlining and logo updating to European leagues in future releases.

- Note the NAHL is unstable at the moment if you try to play it, I'll fix that when I update the schedule for 18-19. So don't pick the NAHL.

question for you, when you made your expansion teams did you have to create a new schedule or did the game automatically do that? Cause I'm thinking of making my own expansion team via the editor and adding my own players by creating them. So i'm just wondering if I create my own team will everything just configure on it's own or is there a step list I have to follow?

There are steps you need to follow. What is your idea and I can tell you how hard or easy that will be...if you just wanted to say take the NHL32 database and edit Seattle to be your own fantasy team, that’s easy. If you wanted to do multiple re-alignments with some different number of teams besides 32 or 36 that will be much, much more involved.

Do'nt know if it was already asked in here but I'm playing with a CHL team in the Q and I'm starting a rebuild cycle but the game keeps telling me I'm trying to dress too many underage players. They're all players I drafted last season. I think there's something like 7 or 8 rookies and non of them are under 16. Seems to happen with players who don't turn 17 before December. Is there some rule I forgot about in the Q for dressing 16 year olds?

Also, just out of curiosity, do you have any plans to make the trade deadline in the Q like how it actually works in that league? You aren't allowed to trade players in the Q except for the xmas trade period. You can make trades before that but they only take affect during that xmas trade window. Not a big deal at all, just been curious about that. I've been playing ehm for over 10 years now hah.

Also playing in the Q right now and it's clearly stated in the Information->Rules tab under "Lineup Rules". You can dress a max. of 4 players out of the ones you just drafted.

Anyway; throughout the years of playing EHM I've seen players from weird non-traditional hockey countries pop up in the draft but #91 is another I've have never seen before:

edit: hmz no idea why these screenshot don't work.. just gonna post the direct link then

It's always awesome when stuff like this happens. In one save file there were 3 goalies from South Africa, Norway and Iceland respectively all in the top 200.

So far I haven't seen many of these players drafted in the NHL, but you should check the CHL import draft. In my save, it seems like every year a bunch of players from weird countries get drafted and signed. There's a player from both South Africa and Iceland in the CHL atm, also from Croatia and Mexico, and this guy from New Zealand who is still unsigned. In recent years I've seen players drafted in the CHL from Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary, Estonia, Israel, and several from Hong Kong and Korea.

Also, for some reason Latvia suddenly seems to develop high end defencemen. One of those guys went 1st overall in the 2026 draft :D

Yeah In my one game I had a player from HK be a pretty good ahl player. And then I had what appeared to be two Chinese brothers be nhl players that I had. Also had a really good Jewish players too.

Playing the most recent NHL36 and came across this which I've never seen before. I know obviously Matthews did the Europe thing with Zurich before being Drafted but definitely the first time I've seen it in EHM
