I can only agree with the sentiment that this team has its best playoff chances avoiding the metro division as long as possible. Ending up in the first wild card spot would be perfect.
We have good chances against Washington (they play more power hockey than speed hockey), but Pittsburgh would smoke us, again. Our defense is even worse than last year and even more susceptible to fast teams. PIT forward group would have a field day in our zone and then it doesn't matter which form Hank is in.
This team has an excellent forward group, an excellent goalie and a below average defense, specifically when it comes to mobility and puck movement, which are two key areas.
