It sounds stupid, but what other explanation is there for the Golden Knights amazing home record?
By that logic, shouldn't Winnipeg have the worst record in the league? Nothing for opponents to do except practise and go to sleep
Well opponents are bored to death that they forget how to play hockey..By that logic, shouldn't Winnipeg have the worst record in the league? Nothing for opponents to do except practise and go to sleep
no. absolutely not. there are strict curfews on nights before games. It sounds stupid, but what other explanation is there for the Golden Knights amazing home record?
I've seen lists of top party cities that have Vegas somewhere below NYC, Nashville, Miami, and right around LA and San Jose.So not much to do in Montreal and NYC? Miami?
Seems to me the novelty would eventually wear off once Vegas becomes a regular place on your road trips.
I can tell you've never been to Vegas.
The novelty does not wear off. I've been to Vegas 8 times. And I'm not a multimillionaire. If I was Vegas would be 10000x more fun.
Would explain Edmonton, though.By that logic, shouldn't Winnipeg have the worst record in the league? Nothing for opponents to do except practise and go to sleep
As others have noted, it's not as if NYC, Miami, Montreal, LA, Nashville, Chicago, Toronto, etc. (or just about any NHL city, even the "boring" ones like Winnipeg, Edmonton, Ottawa) are exactly void of nightlife or things for young millionaires to spend their money on.
I'm sure lots of NHL players enjoy making the stop there, but I doubt it gets out of hand.
For Eastern teams it's just one trip a year so I doubt it will.Seems to me the novelty would eventually wear off once Vegas becomes a regular place on your road trips.
Compared to Berlin most NHL cities are boring, however, I feel I have to defend Ottawa. There is any number of ways to spend your time if here on a visit. Bigger cities have 20 of everything, Ottawa has maybe only 5 of everything.
