Phil wandering from his safe zone splitting up the dynamic duo (duds?) of Kane/Eichel. I mean, for now. On paper. I'm sure they'll be on the PP together, PK together, play in overtime together. Heck, the first whiff of panic/not scoring and Kane goes right to Eichel's wing, if past coaching behavior is any indication future behavior.

But why? Has the bromance frayed after the OT coverage debacle the other night? Perhaps Evander failed to share his Remy Martin with Jack? Did the cursed stuffed Buffalo fall on Housely's head, prompting an epiphany? Have old tapes now been reviewed? It's a cosmic mystery.

The Sabres have 4 out of the next 6 at home. 5 are against teams struggling alongside the Sabres. 1 against Ottawa, 2 against the Flyers, 2 against Carolina, and 1 against Boston.

If they want to show any signs of coming out of their coma, they need to get 10 out of 12 points in these 6 games.

Kane away from Eichel - over/under on this lasting 2 periods? Also with these lines we should win. Also Fasching can't beat out Jordan f***ing Nolan for a roster slot. FML

Our coaching staff picked Nolan over multiple NHL caliber players back in October. They are bad at their jobs and their dumbass decisions should probably stop reflecting on players.

The idea of Jordan Nolan -- tough as nails 4th line winger with leadership skill -- is exactly what this team needs in theory.

Sabres 3-0. Ottawa rocket to hell picks up massive speed. Sens hold closed door meeting after game for 30 minutes. Ottawa media heralds the arrival of "a new low-point in an otherwise dismal season."

Nathan Beaulieu will miss his fourth straight game as he continues to recover from an illness, while Hudson Fasching is expect to serve as a healthy scratch in favor of Jordan Nolan. The full lineup is expected to appear as follows:

67 Benoit Pouliot - 15 Jack Eichel - 29 Jason Pominville
28 Zemgus Girgensons - 90 Ryan O'Reilly - 21 Kyle Okposo
9 Evander Kane - 71 Evan Rodrigues - 23 Sam Reinhart
17 Jordan Nolan - 22 Johan Larsson - 20 Scott Wilson

6 Marco Scandella - 55 Rasmus Ristolainen
19 Jake McCabe - 47 Zach Bogosian
4 Josh Gorges - 41 Justin Falk

40 Robin Lehner
31 Chad Johnson

Take a deep breath. I know you’re angry now, because Phil makes interesting choices. But hey on a scale of 1 to 10 that was a 4 at worst. Let’s be grateful that Kane and Eichel are apart, for now, at least on paper...
It's impossibly frustrating to watch players shouldering the burden of Housley's idiocy on the ice, finally showing some improvement because the love affair with trash vets ended, and being rewarded by this absolute chump not dressing his best lineup for the 31st consecutive game.

Ehh it feels pretty customary to me after the last 4-5 years.
