The rest of the team doesn’t blast him when they outplay the other team and lose because he blows though. While he hasn't helped himself, he does get to complain about seeing 50 shots

One of these days our games in hand will come....in handy.
I swear!
I think it's pointless to strip him of the C right now, but I also think it's something that you can consider in the offseason. Just naming a new, younger captain next year.I absolutely HATE Greene as the captain. Him being awful this year is whatever but he’s got zero captain traits. Tough bounces? Tough bounces led to six goals? Have to get mentally tough and it will come? Gtfo with that. Show some fire, throw a water bottle, get kicked out of a game, something.
I assumed that is probably who he was suggesting. However I don't thing that's the type of replacements we need.
Gross admits the “consideration” word was his word.
Lack is almost certainly starting tomorrow. They wouldn’t have left Keith in there to get shelled if that wasn’t the case.
Won’t mean anything if we don’t make some lineup changes.
So in other words, he's putting words in Hynes' mouth. Nice.
anyway, what exactly DID Hynes say then?
Or perhaps Gross wasn't paying enough attention for him to actually include a word that may not have even been said by Hynes in the first place?
We don’t want young players with lots of upside as replacements?
We should replace them with slugs instead?

I'd be shocked if Kindaid starts.
Play Mueller. It can't be any worse.
Palmieri isn't THE problem.
I think his general point is that Mueller vs Moore or Santini vs Lovejoy isn't going to make a significant difference either way. And that we need actual top 4 defenders to push others into roles more suited for them. The left side is, quite frankly, a mess, and will be until we add at least one top 4 guy to it.
I don’t think it even matters at this point, lineup changes, etc. There is just too much going wrong at once to fix. One night it’s the goaltending. Next night it’s the scoring. Another night they suffer 3 injuries to key players. Then they get boned on calls or have goals waived off. It’s always something.
Bottom line, they need to win at least 14 of the next 28 in what is an absolute gauntlet of a schedule. I literally see no path to that when you take everything into consideration. It’s not about being doom and gloom. But realistically, how the hell is this lineup going to pull that off without any outside help coming in? They have been living off that 9-2 start for months now and they’ve almost coughed it all up at this point. I’d like to say this was a bottom falling out type of game but you gotta work yourself back up afterwards. I don’t see the horses here to get that done.

This is true either. The team has had plenty of good stretches with this same lineup.
Bold prediction.Really any less than the max three lineup changes (Lack, Mueller, Hayes) in after tonight's game is inexcusable. My prediction is they won't all be for who we want though...Lack plays, Mueller plays for Butcher and they call it a rest/wake-up call day, Hayes plays for Quenneville instead of Stafford
its all moores fault.
As much **** as Lovejoy is getting, I’d let him play tomorrow. No way he should sit over Moore who has been nothing short of dreadful the last few weeks. He’s completely regressed back to the lousy defender that he’s always been. Brutal doesn’t even begin to describe his game tonight.
He’s ****ing abysmal. He has completely regressed back to the lousy defender that he’s always been.
We need to play our best lineup, and icing a pylon who is the exact opposite to what the team is trying to do isn’t going to help
Believe me if I thought there was any better than a 0.0% chance they would healthy scratch Moore I'd be calling for it too. But I'll believe it's a possiblity when I actually see it for the first time in three years, or maybe the second - there was possibly one game he was healthy scratched but I don't remember it offhand. Right now there's as much chance they healthy scratch Moore as there is they healthy scratch Greene or Vatanen. Those are the only guys on D seemingly immune to the axe, though Butcher hasn't been healthy scratched YET either I think that's coming eventually.
