Leaves 6+m in cap which we save for upcoming contracts. Just switch Johansson/Athanasiou/Zacha among the line as you see fit. And Noesen probably stays on the 3rd with Anderson down in the minors or fourth line/top 6

I also think Hall, if he breaks 80 the next two seasons, gets 10 mil easy. Maybe he would be willing to take 9 because it is his number and he wants a competitive team?! He is the type I think would do that. Hall at 9 per for eight years. If Hischier breaks 65 next year like I think he can he gets 6mil for seven years - Taylor Hall's first non-ELC contract. If Vatanen can break 40 points I think he gets 6mil per for five years. Takes him to 32.

If Hall wins the Hart, he’ll be looking for more then 9 million.

Looking at 10.5-11.5 IMO.

Quite a generous salary for De Haan, Noeson and Coleman. I think the latter two get between $1.25 and $1.5 million. Wood's contract seems like an accurate projection to me. I'd like to see a significantly better upgrade than De Haan.

Getting AA could be a potentially good move, not sure about the likelihood though. I'd like to see us address the 2C spot. I do not think we have anyone internally who is a long-term option.

Edit: I also anticipate Bratt being in the top 6 next season.

Focusing on 2C. I agree... I don’t want to go into next season relying on Zacha to give us the type of production we need out of the 2C. We have to take pressure off our top line and have at least those 2 lines leading the team with the decent bottom 6 scoring the others can provide.

@MadDog172430

Are Rick and Morty saving our season?

(Assuming it’s you because you’ve been nice enough to make most of them lately it seems)

I'm unfortunately out of town this weekend without WiFi access (just my phone) so I'm a bit out of commission for today. :cry: I would totally do it if I could.

I plan on posting up at a bar for gametime for sure, though.

Do you really see DeHaan as a #1 LD? Or just a better replacement for Moore? I'd love to sign the guy, and I think he's a great fit for our system (although I also thought Grabner was a good fit) but I don't also don't know how hard his minutes were with the Isles and if he can handle the top assignments.

Either way, I would think DeHaan would be high on our free agent shopping list if he's significantly better than Moore, and we may be able to get him for quite a bit less than 5M/year coming off an injury plagued season.

Rumoured to.

I know nothing about him. But he's a left handed defenseman so, that's neat

Zacha hasn't shown enough to indicate he can be a 2C. McLeod is looking more likely a bottom 6 forward as well. I would strongly consider other options at 2C. Zajac looks to be engrained in that 3C position.
