So what does that say about how long Seabrook will be out as a minimum?
I think he's going to try to play, get injured again, and realize that he can't do it anymore and go home to LTIRetirement, probably next season. At least two weeks I believe.
The huge issue with dumping Seabrook's contract, even if on LTIRetirement, is that the contract value and the dollar value are relatively equal. So can we take on a bad contract at tge TDL for some contendercwantingvto clear capspacectp add from a deal with some team....asset acqusition (picks) in return?

I also have this feeling that Seabs will retire very soon.
You can retire without officially retiring.Somehow I doubt he's going to leave $15.5 million on the table.

Hopefully a similar situation isn't already in play with Toews. It'll be like Hossa. LTIRetirement.

Right, people always make this such a big thing because of nothing but being retired and filling for retirement aren't the same but you can still simply say retired.Because a player has never retired and still collected their salary afterwards... lol
If you retire due to injury, it's LTIR money.

Its still retiring for the player. He would be retired in the same way. Maybe have to do a yearly physical or so to demonstrate the inability to preforms health wise is what all that lifewise is different.so that’s not retiring. Sitting on LTIR for years is not the same thing for the team
I think pretty much everyone already knows that.Except you can’t which is why the Hawks traded Hossa. It’s not the same thing, it has cap ramifications. If you retire that cap hit goes away
