Know nothing about his playstyle or him outside of his hockeydb but it appears he’s like Swayman was in college. Not a great team that he’s been giving a chance to win the past 3 years. Impressive #’s

Disappointed the Bruins didn't sign him last summer but he hasn't given up hope.

At this point, the NHL but he loved Boston. While he wouldn't come out and say it, I got the strong sense he was told size was the issue and that the team was moving in a different direction. His father was a little more open and said "if he was bigger, he would have gotten a deal."

Eklind looks interesting, like his size but does he use it aggressively? Rinksides report on him:
Oscar Eklind is a player with an NHL-sized frame and the full complement of physical skills to go with it, making him a force along the wall and at the net-front.

That set of skills has allowed him to ascend to Luleå's top-line and even get some good looks in both phases of special teams. He's strong, balanced on the puck, and has the sort of inside-driven mindset that you want to see from players in a 6-foot-4 frame. Perhaps most important of all, a little bit of finishing touch, too.

Eklind isn't a play-driver and will need to be paired with players who can do most of the work getting the puck to the offensive zone to have any level of success, but his physical profile and the ability to read the game could result in some success in a bottom-six role at the NHL level.
