Welcome to the Jungle
Names on the EP Rinkside list not on mine

Drew Bavaro 6'2 R D Notre Dame
Evan Murr 5'11 R D Minnesota State
Luke Haymes 6'1 C Dartmouth
Dalton Bancroft 6'3 RW Cornell
Carter King 5'10 LW Denver
Matteo Giampa 6'0 RW Canisius
Boston Buckberger 5'11 LD Denver
John Prokop 6'3 L D Union
Brandon Chabrier 6'0 R D Maine
Matt Barbolini 6'2 C Miami
Cole Moore 6'5 Goalie Bowling Green

They clearly used analytics compiling their list
My guy Gabriel Seger was #3
Also my guy Collin Graf was #6, there's not 1 player in College nevermind 5 that's better than him
Can't wait to here your takes on Bavaro. Specifically did they burn that final contract on him? If they did are you pleased or disappointed?

Robert Orr is available
Is the middle name Gordon ? He's got to be in his 70's by now, probably only good for 18 minutes a game.

Can someone explain who these College FA are ?
By that I mean,
  1. are they players that were never drafted , blossomed in College, now are wanted by NHL teams?
  2. Were they drafted , but somehow their NHL team no longer has their rights ?
  3. Both 1 & 2
  4. Other
Thanks.

Gotta be careful with the college FA hype machine. I remember people on here making a fuss over Wilmer Skoog last year around this time. Last I checked he did a stint in the ECHL and is now in the AHL. We all want diamonds in the rough but realize they are few and far between.

Brian Burke has the best quote on College Free Agents, I'll post it again

Contract starts in July I believe so if he shows up in Providence he'll be on an ATO

True story, I literally found out about him yesterday...
Eliteprospects.com has a nice writeup about him and I'll share some of the finer points later

1. Yes
2. No, that's Loophole Players, they become available August 15, though there are some that sign earlier because they've gotten permission from the team that drafted them

This link makes it clear Bavaro is on a ATO for the remainder of the season, and his contract is for next year

Is there a deadline / timeline with the key players up for grab?

No, obviously key players are not going to sign until their team plays their last game, but there is no deadline for them to sign. There are many players who will never sign anywhere

You can't rely on a guy that can't keep his tie tied.

i may be off here but i'm assuming he played with riley duran at lawrence academy? if so the bruins probably watched him a good amount at some point. always rooting for our prospects, hope he can play and develop.
I believe Duran was a senior at LA when Bavaro was a junior. I know the Bruins have a decent to good relationship with Robbie Barker and Sean Sheehan up in Groton, so they probably had a good read on both guys.

Would loved to have signed McCue. Good goal totals and the kid can flat out fight.

The math doesn't favor Boston
the usual suspects will push hard not including the shitty teams that can guarantee a spot in the bigs for the rest of the season

He was ranked 5th best by Eliteprospects.com
" Bavaro is a smooth well rounded D man"
"He brings stability and is more patient than aggressive"
"He might lack that one standout element to be successful in the NHL"

He's free so why not?
what is the "one standout element" referring to?

In the article they (Eliteprospects.com) believe he (Bavaro) lacks the one standout element in his game to be a successful NHL player, in their grading he basically had average for every category
