Yegor Rykov is looking pretty solid in this game for SKA St. Petersburg. If he keeps playing this way, he might get more than 3rd/4th pairing minutes

I really liked what I saw from Colton White in development camp. Hopefully he has a breakout year offensively.

Gignac could have a great year. Definitely someone I'm going to keep an eye on.

Rykov played 13.13 in 4-0 win over Severstal, the 5th TOI out of all SKA defensemen.

I was watching a bit of that game. Rykov is quite an accurate passer from what I've seen. He's still very young in a tough league for guys his age, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do when he gets a bit more confident in his abilities and when he gets the puck

Love watching Jesper Bratt move around the zone with the puck. He still needs to improve his ability to keep the zone while walking along the blue line with the puck, but it's not bad. He's playing 2nd line RW and is on 1st PP unit for AIK today

What, you hate Russians or something?

I'd also have the like's of McLeod, Bastian and Gignac higher, while Lappin and certainly Kujo would be lower on mine.

It is pretty fun given we can actually fill out a lineup of good looking prospects.

He's in the lineup every game?

Edit: Nope, looks like they have played 8 games, he has played 5. So he is there on the fringe, which for a 19 yr old is OK. Let's see if that changes as the season progresses.

Sidenote: Ilya off to a good start 4 goals 8 assists in 8 games.

No, Rykov has pretty much played in every game. The 3 games he missed was because of his U20 team commitment.

Rykov registers 12:16 TOI and gets an assist for SKA today

:handclap::handclap:
Nice to see such young guy playing regular hockey in KHL and on top of that by a top 3 team in the league. It looks like a good pick up by the staff. Where is the second Russian that was drafted by Devils this year playing?

Last time I checked, Mikhail Maltsev is playing with SKA-1946 in the MHL.

Maltsev recently was called up to the VHL affiliate team SKA-Neva, played one game there already.

Edit: played another game tonight.

That's right! I was wondering that when I saw he wasn't in the lineup for SKA-1946.

It also looked like Maltsev was playing 3rd line LW of SKA-Neva

Thanks Caser!

No problem. :)

Maltsev was playing 4-th line center though and posted decent faceoff numbers: 16 out of 23 in those two games. Here's the link to his VHL profile and stats, maybe it can be useful: http://www.vhlru.ru/en/players/23461/#c
