Injuries might happen , but I don't think the Canes will be out of it this year , and who would they trade away? I guess he wasn't very impressive during the training camp?

I might be in the minority on this, but I didn’t think he looked at all ready to play in the big leagues. He didn’t stink up the room or anything, but there are tons of guys who come into training camp every year, play at his level, and never sniff the NHL.

He’s only 20 so there’s plenty of time. Hopefully he takes the next step and comes back next year ready to challenge for a roster spot in earnest.

Did they play him as a center or wing during the camp? Like you said , he's still young and he doesn't have that much experience from NA hockey. Hopefully he can pick it up , I like the kid.

In the preseason games he was hard-matched with Necas as a winger. That's probably the best path for him to move up the depth chart... unless something dramatic happens to one of Staal, Rask, or Necas it's hard to see a center position opening up in Carolina any time soon. He's in a position not unlike Aho, where any thoughts of playing center will have to come after he establishes himself as an NHL player first.

He did have shoulder surgery so while he might have been ready, he surely could have added some additional muscle tone.

Don't know if anyone on here watches these games or can get their road games but if you watch the Saturday game against the marlies I will be there for sure in my canes gear. Hoping to spot some more canes fans but I'm not terribly optimistic.

If Foegele doesn't stop scoring I am going to look v silly for doubting him. Wallmark is doing fantastic obviously. Not a lot going from a lot of the prospects we wanted to see down there but ofc it's just a few games.

And after all the flack @NotOpie took for his "Chris Terry will score 40" stance, he was one of the only ones that rated Foegele as highly as he did. He'll get to have his own "eat crow sunshine" moment.

Even more additionally, somehow, on five goals scored, 14 players had at least a point. McLovin was the only guy with two points (1g1a). His assist was his first of the season.

Down 2-0 through 2 right now. Mason Marchment has both goals for Toronto. Legit don't know who the hell he is. I'm the only guy in hurricanes gear here and I'm currently watching a karate demonstration on ice during the second intermission. It's been a weird day.

I think my girlfriend is bad luck. She came to the Dallas vs Carolina game with me late last season in Raleigh where they lost 3-0.

Every charlotte or Carolina game I've been to without her has been a win.
