He had a few good starts in 2022 but then completely fell off the rails later into the season. Might be okay in a reduced role but was horrendous last year and definitely shouldn't beat out DeSmith for a job.

Colorado could deal a 7th to ensure they get him, but they could also be like there will be a bunch of goalies and we'd be happy with any 1 of them

Martin isn't someone you need to sneak through waivers. I think the team would rather save the money. I don't think getting Martin claimed is a big concern for them.

If he’s not a guy that would get claimed off of waivers I don’t know why they expect they’d get anything back for him in a trade.

It’s because we have 3 goalies who have literally surpassed him on the depth chart. We have too many goalies.
