Our players need to atleast try to be gritty. I get the only thing our top players have ever done is score, but damn these guys look like wimps sometimes. It would be nice to see Willy, Marner, and Matthews crash the boards hard and lay out a guy every once in a while.

Not standing up from your teammates is worrisome for me. Barrie was hit by Risto in preseason and now Petry and no Leaf stood up. Is Barrie going to stand up for a teammate in the same situation? You have to have a pack mentality in the NHL and this team does not, in spades.

I'd say pretty good.
I picture it as a PP goal with 4 Leafs players to the left of Andersen puck watching and Ovie the only player on the opposite side of the ice.

It was plain as day to me in playoffs last year. Everyone was all in on the Raps. NHL playoff hockey got completely wiped out in Toronto. I think there is a bit of a sea change going on here. But that said if Leafs can perform in playoffs all will revert back to before.
