WOW Caps are not messing about any more, this organisation is trying to do a blackhawks of the last 5 years. Weber may not be a stud but he is in his prime and is the kind of depth you need in the playoffs.

Based off "Crashing the Net" all we need is minor trades but I'd have preferred staying pat

The 23 player limit goes away on deadline day so they'll be fine. They can't add anyone else at the moment but they probably can't for cap reasons anyway.

I'm not sure Weber is better than Chorney but he gives them a different look and certainly is better than Ness.

So if I did math right, weber makes 1.66 mil this year in final ufa year. Divide that by 3 as nearly 75 percent of season played and it's 400k, divide that again since buffalo retained 50 percent and it's 200k.

So weber for 200k

Can't say I know much about Weber's game, but the stats indicate he is a very capable depth defenseman. Good signing, I assume that means Mac won't target a top 4 guy like Hamhuis.
