Fun game and convincing win. Crowd and DJ were really rocking. All-stars starting to look like our best players again.

Miller's goal -- with the perfect screen by Boeser -- reminded me of when our PP used to score.

Seriously tho, what was Miller doing on Boeser's ENG??

Demko is good. So is this team.

Canucks are already at 80 points on the year. 12 points clear of Vegas, who are second in the Division, 6 ahead of Dallas for the Conference lead, and 6 ahead of Florida, Boston, and Dallas for league lead. Canucks can go 10-17 to finish the season and still finish with 100 points.

10-11: 117
11-12: 111
06-07: 105
02-03: 104
09-10: 103
14-15: 101
03-04: 101
92-93: 101
08-09: 100
91-92: 96
01-02: 94
21-22: 92
05-06: 92
00-01: 90
07-08: 88
74-75: 86
93-94: 85
22-23: 83
99-00: 83
13-14: 83
18-19: 81
75-76: 81
23-24: 80

Will be very fun to see how high this team can climb. If they only go 14-13 to finish the season, they'll finish with their 3rd best record.
Never would have thought the year Luongo carried the team to the playoffs would be the third-best record in franchise history

Yah. It was a pathetic finals that we didn't deserve to win. I honestly don't think the Sedins and Luongo had what it took to win a Cup though. As much as I know people will jump on me for saying that.
Neither did Boston. POS team enabled by shoddy and questionable refereeing to this day. Hell even if the Canucks went on a miracle dynasty run I'd still be salty about that. But yes our boy 7 goal luongo could've been better that series, absolutely.

Can't complain about 1st in the league..

but I will..

PP is ass with Boeser and JT switching spots.

Kuz and Bo were 2 of our best shooters, and haven't really been replaced. Not just on the PP either. As a whole, the team is scoring a ton, but it's 2011 vibes, where at the end of the year, no one could beat a short goalie despite a record number of shots.

Miller is a great shooter, but passes first almost to a Henrik fault. EP hasn't shot on the powerplay in like 5 years.

Team should go further all in and grab another stud winger.

"No" what?

There are separate statements there.

I hope Podz, Bains and Raty can compete for roster spots next year.
That we cant afford both and that Podz, Bains and Räty will not play a part in wether we can or cant afford both unless they become top4 Dmen.

Lindholm and Boeser (with his newly found form this year) are great replacements, Lindholm for Bo and Boeser for Kuz netfront spots respectively.

Keep in mind they keep inflating point totals with bonus points.

91-92 and 92-93 were actually better.

I mean, yeah, look at those teams. Also the 92 team was buoyed by perhaps the 2nd best regular season goaltending performance in Canucks history. I feel like the 93 team had a better talent level but didn’t play as well as the 92 team.

Who would have been the better acquisition do you think for the 94 team? Was it Janney or still Brown?

It will never not sound like sour grapes and it sucks to say this because we lost to them, but it’s a fundamental core of mine that if you are in the Cup Finals and need a big hit on one of your guys and bulletin board material to “wake up” and realize that, that team doesn’t deserve to win.

We have this Lekkerimaki kid marinating in Sweden who has a lethal one timer. He probably gets a look at the end of the season at some point, especially if we’ve clinched the division.

I would be shocked if he sees in any NHL time unless we have a mountain of injuries in the playoffs. He may not even play every AHL game.

Absolutely Brown, despite sleeping with the wife.

Babs and Murzyn on D were getting turned, without Brown out there eating some minutes that team doesn't make it.

That team had a lot of OT/SO wins if I recall correctly. They were lights out in close games because Luongo was the best player in hockey that season. But they couldn't score for shit.

isn’t the lindholm acquisition exactly what you are asking for? has scored 40 goals in the league, first goal last night was a hell of a post and in snipe.

i just don’t think there is another one of those out there to get. with guentzel now apparently out, i think we already got the one available guy.

young hedican was sneaky good iirc. stepped right in as essentially a rookie and ate solid third pair minutes. brown was very useful too, but mostly on the offensive side imo, where he was a huge addition.

it was a surprisingly solid brian glynn as a depth grab from waivers eventually subbing in when murzyn got hurt that really filled out the top six with safe guys.

in: hedican, glynn, brown

out: murzyn, dirk, slegr, plavsic

Was I right, or was I right on Garland needing Joshua to make room?
I was partially right. I think the linemates he had were surprisingly helpful.
Garland needs to work on his shot to bury the chances he makes for himself. He's pretty much just firing it without trying to aim it anywhere but where the goalie/direction of the net is - no tricks, dekes or shooting for the hole.

Thanks for someone else noticing the flops that Raymond took. The way he buried his face on the ice after the head hit was dramatic stuff.
