Losing Matthias' 18 goals will hurt (not to mention Bonino and Kassian's raw skill). It's funny how at the same time I think we are a top pairing offensive d-man away from being a playoff lock and possible darkhorse contender.

Certainly were last summer IMO. Maybe more than a oof D-man but they had the cap space and assets to get something done.

That ship sailed and now the boat is going through some stormy seas in rocky areas (with a captain who believes its a nice summer day out)

If the Sedins are hovering around 80+ points we easily are in the playoffs.

Unless if our D goes full Sbisa.

Not sure if we want a new one for this season, but TSN released their top 300 scorers (more for fantasy I guess).

Hank and Danny project for 66 and 67 points.

Vrbata 58.

Lots of people will be pissed to see who they expect to be our 4th leading scorer: Chris Higgins with 35

Hansen with 34.

Horvat 33.

Sutter 32.

Baertschi 30.

Edler 29.

I have to believe they don't expect Burrows to get any top 6 reps or any Sedin looks because they're projecting him to not be a top 300 scorer, when I think it's just as likely he finishes in the 30-35 point range.

I also think Edler will score more than that. He (and Weber) are really our only options for d-men on the PP so he should see lots of minutes, so I think Edler will probably hover in the 40-45 point range (same range for Burrows).

I also have a bit higher hopes for Horvat, and think he can hit 40+ this year.

The only thing I'll predict for now is i think Daniel is our best player/highest scorer this yr..

The offense ran thru him down the stretch and thought he was the more effective twin. The twins got their mojo back thanks in large part to Daniel jumping back up to elite level status.
