TSN has listed a number of Canucks and their exacted projection. Figured it would be worth discussing and making our own projections.

Henrik Sedin: 76-14-51-65
Daniel Sedin: 76-22-38-60
Radim Vrbata: 75-24-27-51
Chris Higgins: 76-17-21-38
Nick Bonino: 72-16-21-37
Alex Edler: 72-10-27-37
Jannik Hansen: 77-14-18-32
Alex Burrows: 65-13-17-30
Kevin Bieksa: 74-7-22-29
Shawn Matthias: 79-14-15-29

Personally, I think they are out to lunch on Matthias.

Do you have a link? I can't find the projections.

TSN must have us at or near the bottom of the conference if those are their point predictions.

I think the Sedins will surpass that easily if Desjardins lets them play their game more than Torts did with his deep breakouts and dump and chase.

I can see Bonino getting promoted to the top PP unit or anchoring the 2nd unit so he should get more than 37pts if he's healthy.

Edler and Burrows, who knows. If they get that number of points I guess I'll be happy after the seasons they had last year.

Matthias probably won't sniff the powerplay so getting 30pts in the bottom six seems unlikely. I think he's just on their radar because he's associated with Luongo.

I think Vey, who's not on that list, will outscore everyone after Bonino.

Not even 1 PPG player on the roster? If that's the case, another long year in Vancouver.

Only way I would be happy with that production from Bonino is if Kesler ended the season with 2 points.

Vey or Kassian instead of Matthias (maybe add a few more goals eh!) and we're probably looking at something pretty reasonable.

Matthias is better than a lot of people are giving him credit for. Pre-season doesn't mean much for veteran players. He had 23 points last year on two offensively inept teams (tied for 29th GF).

Rotating in a bottom six with guys like Vey, Hansen, Richardson, Higgins I don't see ~30 points out of the question. I'm also considering that Willie D will give more icetime to the bot6.

As for Hank: 82-1-81-82 :sarcasm:

Considering only 13 players in the entire league scored over a 1.0PPG, I don't think those are really out of perspective.

I'd be surprised if Vrbata's numbers are that far off the Twins....I think they'll all be in the same range.

they must still think Torts is coaching....if you look at the previous years we hand lots of players play full seasons, including most of the core. Hopefully the team is healthier under Desjardins system which won't be nearly as taxing on the players.

I think Bonino is our 4th leading scorer this year and he will get anywhere between 40 and 50 points. 37 seems low when he should see lots of ice time.

I doubt Matthias puts up 30 points. Probably closer to 20.

I suppose I'm hopeful of a big rebound year for Henrik and Daniel.

I think the projection for Bonino obviously factors in the massive amount of PP time he had last year with Getzlaf and Perry to accrue his point totals, and that as of now, being on the 2nd unit with Alex Burrows and Chris Higgins, who they don't expect much from came into the equation.

And really, why not project Zack Kassian, instead of Shawn Matthias. Seems like that would make more sense, since Zack produced Shawn's exact projection last year.....do they not expect him to take a step. I haven't clicked the link, only going by the OP.

I'm probably more optimistic about the Sedins than most but I see them both getting around 70 points. Vrbat will be a big part of that as he will score 30 goals.

The most laughable part of the list, is that they have John Gaudreau scoring 55 points and playing 77 games. I'll take the under on both.

Anybody find Kesler on that list, I can't seem to find him. found him, never mind 44 points.

They were on a good pace early last season. I don't think it's outlandish they could score at near a PPG.

I hope they can continue this all year... and an improved PP would definitely help.

Call me crazy, but I actually think the Sedins will flirt with a PPG pace most of the year. Henrik may even surpass it if he stays healthy.

Not crazy, but that would likely require a much better PP than we have seen the past season and a half.

Also will be difficult to put up PPG in the western conference. Would have to rack up lots of points against teams like the Oilers and Flames because trying to score against LA, ANA, SJ, etc is a rather tall task.

Henrik can pass in his sleep so I see him putting up 70-75 points. Can see Daniel being in the 60 range, and Vrbata not far behind.

Not crazy at all. I think Hank, especially will threaten a PPG. As I mentioned earlier, I have a pretty good feeling he'll reach the 60+ assist mark so for me his point total will depend on his goal total. If he can threaten 20 goals he's definitely going to end up with 80+ points.
