Then why isn't he playing 2nd line? Surely his putting up 50 points and playing top power play time would be beneficial for a team fighting for the playoffs...

You are out to lunch. He's playing 4th line because they are still somewhat sheltering him (as they should be) to bring him along at the right pace.

He's a very solid looking young prospect who is going to develop into a good player. But many of the things said in the last ten pages are ludicrous and unnecessary. You are way, way too excited and overeager, just like the majority of people bumping this thread every five minutes like it's discussion about a McDavid type.

Just because the thread is getting bumbed doesn't mean he is getting McDavid hype.

He's not getting 1st unit PP time because our coach puts derek ****ing dorsett on the power play before Bo Horvat. He is not playing in the top 6 because we are developing him that way. Baby steps. Plus Bonino is better than him. If he were a winger I could easily see him in the top 6.

Aren't you doing just that? You clearly haven't watched him play enough times to form the opinion that you have, why are you in this thread?

As a Horvat fan i agree with most of this. But based on the minutes he has been getting over the past month or so, to say he's still on the "4th line" is a bit of an oversimplification despite his quality of line mates.
