This is fine. Get it done and out of the way. Well done, Chevy. Our backup has a very light load.

If Helle gets injured, we are F'd. But we'd be F'd with pretty much any backup in that situation.

Well, no rest for Helle. If the next season is compressed that could hurt.

Bad AAV. He wouldn't have received more than the minimum on the free agent market...about a million considering the glut of quality of goalies that will be available. $500,000 overpay here, $3 million per year more than deserved for Perreault - these things add up and provide teams with less flexibility going down the road.

I'm with people that say that Bucky and LB get along, continuity and a serviceable back up to play 20/25 games

I'm not a huge Brossoit fan but he seems like a decent guy and he's serviceable in a backup role.

Honestly, wish I could say I'm fine with this, but it's really $500k too much. I think if they want to improve elsewhere they will need every dime.

I know they don't operate this way, but they could have squeezed him a bit here. Where else is he really going to go for that money?

On the bright side, maybe this means they have more money to spend next season that I thought. And it gives them a little more certainty going into free agency.

Good signing, I think.

He's generally been solid. The AAV is fine. He works well with Hellebuyck.

Jets will still need to sign another goalie for the 2021/22 season to meet the requirements for the Seattle expansion draft.

Does Berdin count or is he ineligible? I guess they are hoping to sneak Comrie through for that purpose if need be.

Good signing. May not even get a lot of work next season depending how many games are in the season OR he gets a ton of work because they try to squeeze 82 games in a short period of time. Seems they don’t think crazy eyes can play with the big boys.

It's a fair contract. He and Helly work well together. Last season a lot of backups would look like shit. I think the signing could give him some confidence. This tells me Chevy has numbers crunched with whatever he's doing
