Not close imo, Boston doesn’t have the futures for a tkachuk deal (they’d be looking for a hockey deal probably anyway) and the only players that would make sense are pasta (not happening) or maybe Marchand (also not happening)

To Boston : Mathew Tkachuk
To Calgary: 1rst round pick, Vaakanen and Jake Debrusk
Tkatchuk is about as available as Pasta. So either overpay handsomely or there is no deal to be made. But imagine Tkatchuk and Marchand on the same team holy

Tkachuk's ice time is down dramatically under Sutter. Doesn't look like CGY is playoff bound and needs to blow it up. Sellers and rebuilding according to Sportsnet everyone is available.

having everyone available doesn't mean they're going to be looking to trade everyone... it simply means that if someone wants to overpay for an asset they'll take it... and this offer is nowhere near fair let alone an overpayment

Isn't this guy going to be Calgary's next Captain? No chance he's dealt and in any case he is, it would have to be a massive overpayment. Which that offer is far from.

Bruins fan living in Calgary. Zero chance they trade Tkachuk for almost anyone. It'd be like that offer being made for Marchand in 2012. He hadn't yet reached his potential but you could see it coming clearly.

I want to will this into existence so badly. Matt would be amazing in Boston. Alas, the posters are right, the Bruins don't have the futures to make it compelling and their young good players (Pasta and McAvoy) are more valuable than Tkachuk so it can't work. Having Marchand and Tkachuk on the LW for 40 minutes a night. PLEASE.

Lol. Tkachuk would thrive in Boston. Marchand and him would be nasty together. Don't see a fit though.
Calgary definitely going to try a re-tool by trading some combo of Monahan/Backlund/Gaudreau/Gio first

I understand the op offer is bad but no reason to double down and make it worse. Mt isn’t in pasta class
Pasta has definitely stepped it up the last couple of years but Tkachuk just turned 23 and is 6th in LW scoring since entering the league. By comparison, Pasta is 7th in RW scoring since joining the NHL. There's also a world of difference playing with Marchand/Bergeron compared to Backlund/Frolik/Mangiapane, primarily. Not saying it would ever happen but realistically, Pasta and McAvoy are the only age comparable players on the Bruins roster, that would get a conversation started.

The most tiresome excuse it never ends. If you have every watched pasta play he could carry any line in hockey. It doesn’t matter who he plays with he would produce no matter what. He’s value is significantly higher compared to MT

Also MT wouldn’t land you either of those two I’m not knocking him at all. Also pasta over the last 4 years is 3 in points of all rw.
