I like Sobotka and Tarasenko together but my god the way they play makes Stastny look lost. Would almost rather just run

Good win. Closer than it should’ve been but nice for them to get out of the mini slump.

In other news, Detroit are beating the jets 5-1 with 5 mins left so a good night all around.

Easier schedule (at least on paper) coming up. Hopefully this win, plus playing against sub mean teams, gives them the confidence to get back to their winning ways.

As long as they don't play down to their lesser opponents. Has been an issue this year.

Whew, pulled that one out. Schenn is the man.

Boy, do we need a 2nd line though. Steen and Sobotka aren't cutting it.

Sobokta is, Steen isn't. I didn't get to sit and watch the game start to finish so maybe my opinion is skewed but it looked like Sobokta was creating offense and Steen was killing it.

Sobotka looks fine. Steen didn't look that bad today but there is a lot of room for improvement in his game right now.

Pretty much how I saw it too. Soby has been very solid this year, Steen seems to have a good game followed by three bad which is weird because he’s been so consistent his entire time here(in terms of impact game to game, not production necessarily) but he definitely doesn’t look the same. We’re living and dying with that top line. Tarasenko will get it going again soon and that will help, but we need some depth scoring somewhere.
