(Side note: I once dated a chick with an ankle monitor... and somehow that wasn't the red flag that it should have been. Oh to be 23 again.)
Story is even better if you were living in Florida at the time.

When does he return? Mar 6 vs DET? For reference Girard cleared Dec 22 and played Dec 31.

Play him tomorrow if you want to win. Whats there to ease him back in on? He knows the system and his role. Park him in front of the net on the PP and get 2 goals whats the problem?

Game shape. He likely hasn't been skating, or perhaps only a little, and Bedsy normally has a skating test they have to pass before he lets guys play again.

If that was true Johansen would be working concession at Ball arena and not on the ice making a mockery of that beloved jersey lol. Thats probably true that its a game shape thing. Nuke can take a year off and eat nothing but Kraft dinner and be in better game shape than Johansen.

Haha, I think it's partially based on their training camp baseline. Bedsy has talked about it a few times with guys coming back from injury. Returning players have said it's fairly grueling too.

He specifically said they have to pass the test before coming back. Think he might have even said it about Girard, but can't remember for sure.

Oh shut up MacFarland.

Haha, come on you know it's true. He'd have to trade for an elite player to get a better one than Val.

2023-24 Pace

Val Nichuskin - 42 goals 86 points

Brock Nelson - 36 goals 66 points
Casey Mittelsdadt - 18 goals 62 points
Adam Henrique - 23 goals 55 points
Elias Lindholm - 18 goals 52 points
Boone Jenner - 35 goals 51 points
Alex Wennberg - 12 goals 32 points
Trevor Zegras - 16 goals 29 points (career high 23 goals 65 points)

So this be why Johansen is trying so hard not to get hurt.

We should try Georgiev in Nashville. That would solve a lot of problems.

This f***ing goalie is getting Grub/Kpop whatever level. It's like the black plague all over again with f***in goaltending just before this team got good enough to actually overcome it. Letting in 4 f***in goals every game has to stop. Period, I don't care how the organization stops it, it just needs to stop.

Unless we trade for someone we're screwed. Jussi is pretty well regarded as a goalie coach and he's striking out with our boys.

Our best bet was to get Phil Kessel to work as Justus' conditioning coach and cook. He'd have had that boy eating so many hotdogs he'd cover the entire net.
