What are your guys prediction for his numbers next season ?

Depends on who his linemates will be. If Hyman is still on his line, he'll probably finish with 40-30 or 35-35. If it's someone better than Hyman, like JVR lets say, then I see him finishing with 40-40.

That turned out to be a blessing because had Matthews been born 2 days earlier he would have been eligible for the 2015 draft and chances are of all teams he would most likely been draft by the Coyotes at 3rd overall.

I was watching highlights of the Leafs game against Pittsburgh when they clinched on that Goal Leafs Goal YouTube channel and since they use the radio broadcast Jim Ralph mentioned a great stat about Matthews. For only the third time since 1997 will the previous 1st overall pick play in the playoffs during his rookie season. The other two who have done that is Joe Thornton and Nathan MacKinnon.

I know he's our golden child but we have to call him out as well. He simply needs to be more hungrier

These are the playoffs, he's going to get double teamed, hacked and punched. He'll need to fight it through

For someone with size and skill he needs to get more engaged. He showed glimpses of it last night

I am expecting a better game from him. It is the first playoffs, a lot of jitters, a lot of nervousness not to make mistakes. I get it.
