lol, it's close to the same in the US for many things, it's just harder to notice when you're disillusioned on the inside.

Harder to notice when you are under the illusion.

If you were disillusioned on the inside it would be easy to notice because you would no longer be confused or distracted from the truth.

Guys do you want to let the people in Raleigh know that an owner who wants to run everything probably won't end well?

Not until after we strip them of a couple Defenseman and a prospect or two for great leaders like Bogosian and Moulson.

There is no way to quantify pride. There is no metric for how pissed off and wanting to show up a former team can motivate someone, or how a players friends will try harder to one-up their friends former team.

And there is nothing to measure the Panthers giving away 2/3rds of a first line for free.

Hoppe had an interesting article on that yesterday

Lots of talk of work ethic, being humbled and being driven by rejection. Each player wanted to show their former team they were wrong early on. Their teammates rallied around that since they were in the same boat. Every night helping a teammate show their former team they were wrong.

I haven't changed from thinking it has a lot to do with how they came out of the gate. On every night, there is someone in the room with you who another team discarded is motivating. And then seeing what doing that extra little bit of work does every night becomes habit.

That still amazes me.
