See I don't agree. I think he's done a marvelous job considering Melnyk has been handcuffing him financially. The tell tale sign was moving Zibanejad who was up for a new big contract in exchange for Brassard who was cost controlled. Give our GM ' s full cap freedom and I think that deal never gets done.

The talent is here on this team. The system of Boucher is garbage

Yes, creative players want to be creative, but wouldn’t they want to win more? They clearly know how to implement The System successfully, but is something else going on in Ottawa to keep The System from working? We’re there other factors affecting year two in TB?

We traded a young 22 year old who likely was going to appreciate for a 29 like to depreciate and tossed in a 2nd to get it done. If Zibanejad had another year of elc no chance we make that deal. It was purely financial driven.

I don't care what the theory is. I see a lot of great players on our team that have no direction. Either they've given up on the coach, of they've given up on the GM and or ownership. I feel that the GM and coaches are to blame here, and also Melnyk.

Check the lineup differences between the Maclean Era and Boucher era . Significantly different . So we have made big changes to the players so that excuse doesn't hold water in my eyes.

I just do not think our team is intelligent or aggressive enough to have a good PP. Name one coach of the last 3 who managed a good PP?

I say fire Melnyk and find a new owner. We are going to lose Karlsson because of this idiot.

Honestly, I am on the fire Boucher wagon. His system sucks. Sure it worked the first season, but there is only so much defense a team can play over a season. His system is very tiring on players. No wonder the team has given up on him.

I think the system is good, but the players have simply stopped playing it properly.
Just feels like a case of the players tuning out the coach. Which happens way too often with this club. Another coaching change may wake them up, but at some point we need to find a bit of consistency and stability.
