Pucks going in but no flow. Long term Krug is the man for me
Yeah I have totally flip flopped on this. PP just looks a lot worse without Krug. The results have been good, but it has SEEMED like their have been fewer scoring chances.

Is there such things as Shootout specialists who are forth liners coz this team needs a couple of them. They suck at them.
Something tells me anyone like that would automatically start to suck at shootouts the second they got here. Wagner had a nice move yesterday.
I think this organization overvalues the 4th liners big time. What about trading 2 of Wagner/Kuraly/Nordy for a solid middle 6 winger and maybe throwing in a pick/prospect?
I know trade proposals that make sense to the other team aren't welcome in this thread but thats the type of deal you could make with a contender that makes both teams better.
yeah and he got one last year, just like he got Rick Nash prior to that too
You see, there is this thing called a “salary cap” that they have to deal with first
i guess if they had a legit 3rd liner stuck behind 3 other guys on the wing, AND had 1 or 2 absolute scrubs as the other 4th liners. The 2 guys we send them are enough of an upgrade over they're 11th and 12th guys to make up for the slight down-grade to their 3rd line. What team does your proposal make sense to? What contender is looking to give up a solid middle 6 winger?
False.
He did not address that hole last year. He got two third line players.
Don't you mean "mismanagement of the salary cap"? Do we have a solution yet for the 2nd line RW? I'm on a forum to discuss hockey. I don't need you just trying to argue with me with your "I'm superior attitude", but thanks anyway.
I really wish Sweeney would have given up a bundle to get rid of Backes this summer. We would have then signed Johansson and been on our way. He knew #90 fit in and there was little risk in a two year deal. Now we have to give up asserts and we don’t know if they will fit inand the Bruins have about 10 mil of dead space with Backes and the buyouts/retention.
The Bruins have too many cap and injury uncertainties right now to make a significant trade, IMO, but in the meantime:
Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak
DeBrusk-Krejci-Kuhlman
Bjork-Coyle-Senyshyn
Heinen-Kuraly-Wagner
Time to cut bait with Ritchie and keep Backes and Lindholm as depth players where they belong.
He's been my targetPalmeiri looked good yesterday
Johansson spent most of the playoffs on the 3rd line. The Bruins were alternating between Backes and Kuhlman on Krejci's wing by the finals.yeah and he got one last year, just like he got Rick Nash prior to that too

Sweeney also let Johansson walk.
so do you really wanna commit to the argument that he fixed the 2RW problem last year?
so Sweeney gets credit for getting a 2nd line RW (which he didn't) and gets a pass for losing the guy he acquired do to the lack of cap space that he himself created?I think he addressed it and then mojo showed unbelievable chemistry with Coyle so they played him with Coyle. And you know what? They were monsters. They played like a 2nd line.
And yes, you see, he let him walk because of this thing called a “Salary cap”....

I know secondary scoring is the main issue but I think a little tinker to the backend could help as well.
Would anyone do
Ron Hainsey 20% retained (provided he will come here)
For
Moore chelarik
We get a solid RD who plays tough to compliment Gryz.
Chara Mac
Krug Carlo
Gryz Hainsey
Clifton and kamp waiting for the inevitable injury to happen.
Ottawa gets a cost controlled vet for 3 more years and a IMO a NHL ready forward who needs a change of scenery and deserves one.
Oh my God..Mojo is a more productive player than most people proposed here lol
he addressed the secondary firepower last year. He addressed it prior to that with rick Nash as a rental. He’s probably going to address it at the deadline this year once the cap gets figured out with the LTIR situations. They lost because the first line didn’t show up. That’s it. Not much to debate.
Btw it’s tough to be a good team for a long time and not be up against the cap. Not every move is going to be perfect. So if you want to bash Sweeney be my guest. I think he’s done a good job
If he wanted him he would’ve kept him regardless of the cap, somebody else would’ve been shipped out. Who I don’t know. If he was a priority he stays.I think he addressed it and then mojo showed unbelievable chemistry with Coyle so they played him with Coyle. And you know what? They were monsters. They played like a 2nd line.

He’s 38. I’ll pass.I know secondary scoring is the main issue but I think a little tinker to the backend could help as well.

So anything critical and we're just "bashing Sweeney" and we don't think he's done a good job?
Good lord.
Hainsey is 85 years old, and the B's don't have any NHL level RHD's in the system
well when you’re implying he can’t do a move because he’s hamstrung himself I think that’s a bit misleading considering he’s built an elite team and elite teams cost money
He’s also getting bashed for not adding secondary firepower when he has. Again, that Coyle-Mojo line played like a 2nd line. They were monsters. They got Nash before that. They’ll probably get somebody in a month and a half. Give it time, he addresses the needs
No. We're saying he's failed to address the hole on Krejci's right. YOU said he DID address it.
Which one of us is right?
