That I do not understand at all? It is more of a travisty the more successfull the all star teams are, imagine a none national team win a so call international tournament. It would give the tournament more legitimate if they would lose everything, so they are not in the way for the real teams and can be more easily forgotten.

Slovakia had to play Worlds in C and B category with players like Stastny, Hossa, Gaborik, Bondra, Demitra, Chara and Palffy on their prime ... Also played semi-final and lost one-goal game against Canada in Vancouver.It's not Nagano but I'd say it was pretty good result and more recent.
