I thought Roenick hinted something about it being an MCL sprain, which at its least severe is like a two week injury. Which is probably not too far off especially seeing how gingerly Thornton is skating in those vids.

By saying that with the symptoms thornton said he had, is the same he had when he missed a few weeks?

You still have the same symptoms for a minor injury as the most major ones. Especially in the case of knees.

From someone who has experienced an mcl sprain I couldn't walk for a week on crutches. The fact that he's been getting around on his on power, and can manage to put 235 pounds of stress on it skating around is encouraging. Not an easy task 3 days after an injury. How far is he really who knows? But I woul guess he doesn't miss more then a couple games come playoff time if he continues to progress.

No way they'd let him out on the ice just as a smoke screen if it was a serious injury. Trying to say seeing a player skating after an undetermined injury is not necessarily a good sign is just purposely being overly negative.

Jeez, who knows what to think at this point. What we can take seriously from that I have no idea. Said MRI revealed nothing, is that true? Who knows. Sounds pretty certain that he'll be in there for Game 1.
