Attorneys for former major league pitcher Trevor Bauer say he and a woman who accused him of beating and sexually assaulting her in 2021 have settled their legal dispute.

Bauer was never arrested or charged and has countersued, denying the allegations and accusing the woman of faking a pregnancy and trying to extort money from him."

194 game suspension (the reduced number the arbitrator ruled) for "violating the league domestic violence policy". 194 x $210k per game is $41 million he lost because of this

Not to mention the impact on future earnings

Had he not been suspended, and had continued to pitch at his previously established level, his next contract would've likely been worth a similar amount

As it stands now, he's probably looking at a series of 1 year deals with MLB teams for considerably less than what he otherwise would've earned

You gotta wonder where the player's union has been throughout this ordeal...
