Such a Quinn coached game from the US. Turtled with a 3-2 lead and no more offensive breakout.

Germany wins in OT and goes to the final!

He was never given a full chance here. Injury set him back, and the Rangers as usual were impatient.
I dont think NYR were impatient.
StL wanted a player back in Vlad deal, and NYR needed to clear Cap and roster space.
Some posters here, yeah, impatient.
Rush to judgement, especially negative, is the standard at fan boards

He was miscast in the bottom of the lineup imo. They should have given him time with panarin and trochek imo
Pre-injury he was playing with Laf and they looked like they could be a good combo. Yeah for Blaid it was all assists, but from memory both he and Laf missed some glorious chances to pad stats a bit and 4 assists in 10 games is still ~32 pt pace (and even 4 in 14 is ~24 pt pace).
And that was after he went at 40 pt pace over his last 20 games with STL.

I know everyone hates the trade, but it does look like Drury identified a guy who really should have fit a need here while moving a piece that was blocking the 'kids' from the ice time we all felt they needed. It didn't work, especially post injury, and the team should really be looking into why that was.
On paper the lines of:
CK-Mika-KK
Panarin-Tro-Krav
Laf-Chytil-Blais
should have been a pretty well rounded team, especially if you then add in Vesey and Goodrow for coverage

Panarin-Trocheck was and is a tire fire and should never be tried again.

OTOH Trocheck-Kreider was solid and is the basis for a speedy two way line that can play gritty, north-south hockey.
