Swedish papers writing that Oliver Kapanen is headed to Timrå IK next season, where his father currently works as the sporting director. Thought he'd be headed to the AHL for sure, but the SHL is definitely not a bad option either. Timrå is losing their 1C Robin Hanzl too, so he could get a good role there as a 1/2C
He's not starting the 3rd. Anybody saw the first 2 period and how he looked despite the 4 goals?
I’ll admit that the eye test for me isn’t exactly jaw dropping. Could just be a personal preference thing. This guy is turning out to be a steal. He's consistently creating offense and playing a very nice skill game. He's quickly moving up my list of favourite prospects, I'm really excited to see what he can do next year in the SHL.
They play Petrovsky, the midget Goure and Barlow on the first line. Guindon plays with relatively mediocre players except on the PPToday:
- Game 1 for KalPa in their Quarter-Final series vs. 2nd seed Ilves is @ 12:30PM ET - Kapanan watch even if rumor has him going to SHL.
- Game 1 for Rogle in their Quarter-Final series vs. 1st seed Farjestad @ 2PM ET - Engstrom watch.
- Game 3 for Nybro in their Quarter-Final series vs. Brynas @ 2PM ET. Brynas leads the series 2-0.
In non-playoff action is Guindon @ 7PM ET. It's the before last game before the playoffs.
