These Are The Days
Oh no! We suck again!!

Granted I am not well versed in Vegas, but aside from their 1st round picks and Chayka (Who I wouldn't move), what would Vegas offer?Friedman saying Vegas has entered the Hanifin sweepstakes
Other than him willing to sign an extension there, Vegas can get him if they want him bad enough. They have more to offer than us.
We're in a bad spot now
It's over. This is way worse than the Jeannot trade.
I guess if he signs here in FA then it won't be so bad. But the idea of missing out on a big piece like this that was basically begging to be here is brutal. How is this worse?
If he doesn't sign an extension with Vegas we can sign him in the offseason no?
Not much JBB can do if another team offers more.I guess if he signs here in FA then it won't be so bad. But the idea of missing out on a big piece like this that was basically begging to be here is brutal.
Yeah possibly.I am thinking Buffalo is going to regret trading for a player who has played 55 games as his highest amount in 4 injury riddled seasons.
But we got jeannot to carry the team to victory. We got sheary to show us how to win. We got no draft picks to build for the future. Luckily we have Kuch.Great, no Hanifin, Walker or Seeler, 2nd straight masterful deadline it appears.
Maybe a late first from a contender or a 2nd and b/c level prospect . He is essentially a worse version of the overpaid center in Calgary Kadri without any big offensive seasons or big hitting ability. Overpaid 3rd line center.Just out of curiosity, what do you think Cirelli would fetch in a trade that's not for another player (like Hanifin).
Said this over a week ago and a couple posters didn't agree.Yeah the Jeannot trade cost us here.
Not to mention the lack of cap due to bad signings or contracts that he did.Said this over a week ago and a couple posters didn't agree.
It absolutely boils down to overpaying and it biting us in the ass. It's like being broke and an item you want goes on sale. You don't have the funds so you sit by and watch others have their go at it.
We ran out of goodies to throw another teams way and this is another example of why making trades like that can cripple a franchise. Not getting Hanifin doesn't make us a team ready to relocate, but give a GM three or four of these moves and you turn into a bottom dweller. JBB cannot afford to make another blunder like that. The deal for Hagel is fine because of how impactful he is. Paul is a wash and a good 3C. The issue is Jeannots trade is so polarizing and bad. If we had a 1st, 2nd AND this cap space, we'd be making moves the group of people wanting to go all in would love to see. In the meantime, enjoy Farmer Fran.
Kuch winning the scoring title (which could lead to the hart) is the only thing of value for this season. Would be a damn shame if he didn't get either, would be a legit pointless seasonAnd now Kuch is two points behind MacKinnon. Cool beans, great year.
