They need to win both of the first two. Don’t see them doing it otherwise if they have to come back to Houston. Even up 3-2 I’m not sold they close that out

If they are up 3-2 they would have Wheeler at game 6. Still need to win this game though. Which is far from given. Especially with Alvarez and Tucker up.

Houston really blew it tonight, up 5-0 and you choke big time. Verlander did himself no favours, what the hell was that? This was supposed to be their statement game but blew up in their faces.

Philly is series gonna be one of the crappiest teams on paper to win a World Series if they do it. The Mets and Braves are like hall of fame teams compared to this junk

Nick Castellanos, a noted garbage can defensively saved a game in the world series with his glove. The play before that, Brandon Marsh, a guy known for being a + defender makes a bad read that ends up extending the inning.

Thanks, if I were you Id be really annoyed at Verlander. No way should he be blowing a 5 run lead at home. Us Phillies fan lived through this with Cliff Lee in 2011 against the Cardinals (4 run lead though). Type of loss that might come back to haunt a team. I think game 2 will be much more low scoring, Wheeler is going to have to be at his best.

The Phillies bullpen somehow outpitched the Astros this game. Both were great though.
