I get you don't want to go the pen early but we have several capable starters pitching out of there that he could turn to. Garcia,Urquidy ( though he hasn't pitched in a month) , Brown. Any of which could come in pitch long innings. I guess he didn't want to rattle his ace or some nonsense

I thought in 2006 he was bad but gave him a pass since he was still young, his 2012 self proved he was terrible. If it wasn’t for 2017 legacy would’ve been meh.

With the state of their bullpen compared to Houston, yeah. Alvarado already used in the 5th inning and only threw 7 pitches. Should have tried for a couple more outs. Seranthony in coming in now. After that it's basically Robertson who cant throw strikes since you was traded for.
