I love the pick. Did not expect him to fall this far. I was actually reading up on the goalie prospects in the draft when I had made the quip about if we drafted Dyck. I didn't think there was any chance we would land Zhigalov, I presumed he would be taken in the 3rd or 4th.

Even if he’s in the CHL it’s reassuring the amateur scouts are willing to draft an Eastern European. The team hamstrung itself for a decade after the lockout not bothering with Europe.
